BBDO was her first challenge. She worked there for 11 years as the Client Service Director for MTV, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, Mars, Renault, Telefónica and Pepsi. She directed the Pepsi account at European level.

In January 2008 she joins LOLA (Lowe Latina) of Lowe&Partners as the Global Accounts Director for Magnum Ice Cream at Unilever. She leads and coordinates the account at a global level, launching it in China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Thailand, Brasil, Mexico, Turkey and the United States. Those were four years of intense and fascinating work which culminated in a Global Effie for Magnum in 2012. A brand with some of the best verifieable results worldwide.

In 2014 she founds Picnic, a strategy consultancy firm. She's the CEO.

A few years later, after taking some time off for her family, María founds Sioux & Cyranos with Roberto Lara and Leandro Raposo.
